About the Role

As the Head of EPC at Solinoor, you will play a pivotal role in leading the execution and delivery of our solar park initiatives (on water, land, roofs, and carports), ensuring seamless coordination, efficient construction, and timely project completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development and growth of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) business, in alignment with the overall business strategy of Solinoor;
  • Successful project execution and delivery, by managing the EPC team and collaborating with other stakeholders in the company and the industry;
  • Represent the company locally and internationally, build its reputation, and contribute to its success by driving innovation;
  • Continuous improvement, and operational excellence in EPC processes and practices;
  • Lead the EPC team to successfully execute projects from concept to commissioning locally and internationally;
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth of EPC business in the country, in line with the company's overall goals and objectives;
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies and procedures;
  • Monitor projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget;
  • Recruit, train, and develop the EPC team to build a highly skilled and motivated workforce;
  • Collaborate with other country heads and cross-functional teams to share knowledge and best practices;
  • Identify and manage risks to project delivery, including risks related to safety, quality, and environmental impacts;
  • Excellent communication and building required capabilities for a successful team;
  • Represent the company in industry events and forums, and actively promote the company's brand and reputation.

Candidate profile

Ideal candidates for the Head of EPC position has:

  • Experience in a related role, specifically in utility-scale Solar Power Plant projects
  • University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is preferred
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel; familiarity with MS Projects is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in AutoCAD for technical drawings and design work
  • Proven track record of successfully executing Solar Power Plant projects

Your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and engage with stakeholders at various levels, coupled with effective communication skills, will contribute to the success of our solar PV projects.

  • A salary corresponding with your knowledge and experience.
  • The opportunity to obtain various certificates, such as VCA-VOL and Scope 12. Other training and certifications are negotiable.
  • Flexibility and freedom in the execution of your role.
  • This is a full-time position, requiring your presence at our head office for at least 3 days a week, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
