Project inventory
We map out all aspects relevant to the development, construction and operation of a solar energy installation, starting with the surroundings and ongoing area developments. An energy analysis determines the potential for renewable generation and weighs it against your current and future energy demand. We also explore other connection options, such as Charging Hubs.
Developing project opportunities
Building on the inventory, we work out the project opportunities in detail, with a technical analysis of design requirements and suitable technologies. We assess the policy framework (environmental plan, Omgevingswet and RES) and explore grid connection and links with other energy users. We also identify the wider added value, such as nature integration and community participation.
Prioritising project opportunities
We assess the opportunities on technical feasibility, policy scope, grid capacity and added value for the surroundings. This produces a clear ranking, from which we decide together with you which opportunities to take forward.
Business case
A project must not only be technically feasible, but also profitable. Drawing on our experience in building solar parks, we set out the investment and maintenance costs (CAPEX and OPEX), including best-case and worst-case scenarios for energy prices. Finally, we calculate the financial indicators required for bankability over the full project lifetime, such as ROI and IRR.

Technical and spatial design
We develop designs for the energy solutions we aim to realize, such as floating solar or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This includes both the technical design (preliminary design) and the integration of the project into its surroundings. Deliverables include drawings, descriptions, calculations and data sheets.
Communication and stakeholder engagement
A carefully designed process involving all relevant stakeholders is essential to the successful delivery of a project. This includes consultations with the competent authorities and relevant organizations, as well as engagement with local residents and, for example, nature conservation organizations. We take a tailored approach to each project, working closely with the client to align the process with the specific characteristics of the project.
Permitting
We apply for all required permits, including environmental permits, as well as nature and water permits. Applications are submitted to the competent authorities. In some cases, this involves only the municipality; in others, the regional water authority and/or the provincial government are also involved. Together with our partners, we prepare all the supporting documentation required, covering topics such as nature, safety, environment and glare and reflection.
Business case and agreements
A robust business case is a prerequisite for project delivery. We use a bankable business case model incorporating key parameters such as CAPEX, OPEX, energy production and revenues from electricity, subsidies and other contributions. Agreements concluded during the project development phase may include a project development agreement, a power purchase agreement (PPA), a leasehold or land rights agreement, the establishment of a project company (SPV) and an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement.
