Floating solar park Slufter
The largest floating solar park in Europe will be built on the Slufter (Maasvlakte).
Solinoor, DevCap Infra and Enerparc, united in Sun Float Power, have won the tender for the development, realisation and operation of a 95 MW floating solar park on the Slufter. The Slufter is a 250-hectare depot for contaminated dredged material in the southwestern part of the Maasvlakte.
After the project development and construction have been completed, the solar park is expected to be operational in 2027.

The project
The Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), Rijkswaterstaat and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are making the dredging depot available for the realisation of a large floating solar park. This is part of the Energy Generation on Central Government Real Estate (OER - Opwek van Energie op Rijksvastgoed) programme commissioned by the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (Ministerie van Klimaat en Groene Groei).
By generating solar energy at this location, scarce space is used twice. The generated sustainable electricity will be used by surrounding port companies. As a result, the solar park will not lead to more pressure on the electricity grid.
