Floating Solar Niedersachsen (DE)
In the second half of 2026, Solinoor is developing a floating solar park in Niedersachsen, Germany, in collaboration with a local sand extraction company. For this project, we successfully completed the feasibility phase and are now executing the full project development—from design and detailed energy analysis to permit application—using Germany’s fast-track permitting procedure for self-consumption.
The solar park will have a capacity of 1.5 MWp and is fully tailored to the sand extraction company’s energy demand, enabling 100% self-consumption. By making smart use of the sand extraction lake’s water surface, sustainable energy is generated without placing additional pressure on scarce land resources.
Project phase & milestones
After successfully completing the feasibility phase, Solinoor is now in the project development stage in close collaboration with the sand extraction company. This phase includes designing the plan, conducting detailed energy analysis, and submitting permit applications using Germany's fast-track procedure for self-consumption.
Finalization is expected by the end of 2026, with project realization following in 2027. From that point, the solar park will directly supply energy to the sand extraction operations, marking an important step in improving the sustainability of their activities.
