Shore Power

Shore power for inland shipping and working equipment, fed straight from a nearby solar park.

While a ship lies at the quay, its diesel auxiliary engines often keep running: causing noise, emissions and nitrogen deposition. Shore power solves this: the auxiliary engines are switched off and the ship is supplied with clean power from the shore. For port areas, it is a direct blow against emissions and odour. Shore power requires considerable power, which is not always available. By combining the facility with local solar energy and battery storage, shore power can be made available anywhere.

From feasibility study to operation: we manage the entire process, taking into account the energy demand of the berths, the infrastructure and the impact on the surroundings. This way we tailor the solution to the specific needs of port operators and shipping companies.
